New owners for Cheshire village pub

A Tattenhall pub looks set to be given a makeover after new investors came forward.

The Bear and Ragged Staff pub on the High Street in the Cheshire village has been sold by licensed property specialists James A Baker. The new owners have pledged to significantly re-invest in the building which closed over two years ago.

The characterful, three-storey, detached venue will continue to be a licensed premises and it is hoped will become a popular spot for local residents and visitors from further afield.

The pub has long been a central part of the village and as well as serving traditional fare, it has also operated as a Thai restaurant previously. It will reopen next year and the vision includes a function room, outside dining terrace, and hotel accommodation.
