Licensed ladies at lunch

James A Baker is preparing to host an event dedicated to ladies working in the licensed property sector.

The networking lunch was launched last year by Star Pubs & Bars, one of our established clients. It was introduced to give women working in the industry the chance to meet and socialise in an informal and relaxed way.

This year, licensed property specialist volunteered to take over the reins and the team is putting the final touches to the invite only occasion, being held in London’s Covent Garden next month (September).

Up to 30 people attended last year’s event from organisations including Christie & Co, Greene King, Star Pubs & Bars, Savills, and Marston’s.

Office manager Evija Bilde and surveyor Amy Potter, who both work in our Birmingham office, are organising the event.

“We attended last year’s event organised by Star Pubs & Bars, and it was such a good opportunity to meet and network with other ladies working in the licensed property sector,” said Amy.

“We offered to host this year and are very much looking forward to welcoming guests along for what promises to be an enjoyable occasion.

“We feel it is important to recognise the contribution of women to the industry in this way, and to share knowledge and ideas for the future.”
